Bloomfield Hills, October 3– Mary Oxendine Adams, owner of Human Capital Staffing, was among the tenth cohort of 30 graduates who recently completed the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business Detroit Program.
“10,000 Small Business has changed the way I think about being a business owner. Throughout the program I have learned skills that I have put into practice. I am also now in a network of over 7000 other graduates, soon to be 10,000” – Mary Oxendine Adams
The business leaders have spent nearly 3-4 months – roughly 100 class hours – at Wayne State University studying a business and management curriculum designed by Babson College and delivered by Macomb Community College and Oakland Community College faculty. The curriculum covered accounting, human resources, negotiation and marketing, among other topics. The program also included one-on-one business advising, accounting workshops and advice from Goldman Sachs professionals.
